Northridge, CA (December 20). The irreversible effect of giving ashampoo, blow-dry and set to a 87 year old CA grandmother, Mrs. Jackels, by student, Carly Stead, and Founder, Don Knypstra will last a lifetime. Mrs. Jackels has been very independent for years until she broke her hip last year, she not able to drive and hates to burden her family buy asking them to continually drive her around town. It was only a few days ago that Don was visiting with his long-time friend, Tom Jackels, Tom’s mother, was there also. Don has known both of them for over 20 years, and was sharing how his non-profit organization, Unique Cosmetology Salons, was progressing. Joyce was intently listening when she decided to speak up and ask Don, “will you or one of your stylists come over to do my hair?. Five days later, Don and Carly went to Joyce’s house, and as you can see by the photos, the transformation and experience was unforgettable! Edith can’t wait for Carly to visit again. This was Carly’s second time volunteering for Ridone Incorporated and her first time providing a shampoo with a portable shampoo bowl. This was so cool!being able to give Mrs. Jackels a shampoo and set. Carly discovered that this is the clientele she wants to serve”. “I feel so lucky to have met Don, and totally support his efforts to help people with disabilities and disadvantages. Carly will be completing her certification to be a licensed cosmetologist at West Valley Occupational School in West Hills
